In 1975, Dixie Vollmer opened The Plug Nickel in its present location as a little coffee shop and as the community grew, so did we. Using ingredients that are from our local area, we offer unique and traditional sandwiches, crispy salads and hearty bowls of homemade soup. The next thing we knew, we were a neighborhood favorite, a place to find a warm welcome. We are a restaurant where people can gather with friends or relax on their own.
